2025 is the 40th anniversary of the release of the goonies

Save the date and join us June 6-8, 2025 in Astoria, Oregon and surrounding areas.

We welcome fans who want to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the release of The Goonies in the town it was filmed. Activities are in planning stages and will include bus tours, movie showings, scavenger hunt, fan gatherings, and more. Due to some changes in the way the film's studio handles licensing, the future events may look different from what we were able to offer from 2005-2020.

The celebration event is being coordinated by the Clatsop County Historical Society and Oregon Film Museum, with collaboration from many businesses and organizations throughout our region including the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce.
